What are the Festival’s goals?
The Rochester Children's Book Festival seeks to serve tots through teens and their families by giving them the opportunity to meet authors and illustrators who create books just for them.
Our goals are to:
Promote reading to and by children
Benefit libraries in Monroe County
Forge connections between the community and children’s authors
Who comes to the Festival?
Last year over 4,000 people of all ages and ethnic groups from across Western and Central NY attended the Festival.
Children, teens, parents and grandparents
Teachers and librarians
Education, Library Science, and Children’s
Literature students from area colleges
The RCBF could not exist without the generous support of these Sponsors
How much does it cost?
As we grow into a regional event and expand our outreach into the community, our operating costs are increasing. Our $12,000 budget covers such expenses as:
Parking and services at MCC
Hospitality costs for authors and illustrators
Publicity and promotional materials
Supplies, signage, and office expenses.
Why be a sponsor? So you can:
Demonstrate your support of literacy,
libraries, and the education of the
community’s youth.
Gain publicity through media coverage
of the Festival as well as via our
website and promotional materials.
